Strange behaviour in Word application

Thomas

Dear all,

Appreciate if any one has a clue on this. I am currently supporting a Word
application that contains a .dot Word template, custom menus and forms
written using VB6. The way I use this application is firstly I launched the
Word, then from the File menu there is an item inside which is such
application. When I clicked on it, it loads the .dot Word template and shows
a form (this form is written in VB).

Up to this point is fine. When I typed Japanese character in a text box on
the form, it does not appear in the textbox of this form, instead it appears
on the Word document behind this form. This is very strange because this
problem does not happen when I type English.

Does anyone has similar experience? Is it related to Office IME setting?
Recently some of our users experience this problem, but not others. We did
not change anything on the user machine. Is it probably caused by virus? Any
help will be appreciated.
