(Strange) bug in Access lables? (must be something I'm doing)

Hi,

Couple of quick questions, but first the context.

Context:

I've created a form that has about 14 lables on it. In addition the
form allows navigation through Navigation Buttons. When I navigate
through the records, using the navigation buttons, the text in certain
(non-bold) labels grow increasingly darker (i.e., bolder) until they
are equivalently as dark as the bold labels.

Questions:

1. Have you experienced this problem before?
2. Why does this occur?
3. How can I fix this problem?

This is a strange issue, but I thought I would throw it out there and
see if anyone has a quick resolution.

Best,

Kelii

Hello Kelii

Have you seen your optician lately? :) <sorry I could not resist>

That is because if you lay one record over the other on the screen,
things do get darker :) <I am really sorry, I could not resist again>

But for real: This indeed sounds strange. I have never heard before of
such an effect. What version of Access are you using? Ist there code
behind the form?

Is ist possible to reproduce the phenomenon if you strip your databaae
to a bare minimum; i.e., make a copy of your database, then in this
copy you throw out everyting that does not belong to this particular
form. Basically, you should be left with one table and one form. Does
it still happen? If yes, could you post your .mdb someplace so that
other people can check out if they can reproduce this?

Again, my apologies for trying to make fun of you, but this is a most
strange phenomennon that you describe.

Greetings

Matthias,

Aha, interesting. Yes, your post struck a cord.

I went back to the form and removed the Option Group frames which
surround the text boxes. In addition, I moved the labels to the back
(i.e., format > send to back), and that did the trick. The labels do
not get darker as I navigate through the records.

Thanks for the though provoking post :D.
