Strange characters in text field

Anyone seen strange characters (ì¬, 챘...etc) in their schedules? I am using
MSOP 2007, a resource pool and an IMS. These characters do not appear in the
individual .mpp file or the IMS. They only appear in the resource pool and
only in one of the text fields.
Any thoughts??

My guess is you've got some file corruption, which is very common with
Shared Resource Pools. I would recreate the resource pool (I know, that may
be a lot of work), and then carefully disconnect all files from the old
one, delete the old one, and reconnect to the new one.

Not what I wanted to hear, but exactly what I suspected. Is there a best
practices on how to prevent this from happening. I know you are not to move
or rename files. Are there other things that can cause this?
