Strange cursor behavior

On an IBM ThinkPad running WinXPSP2 and MS Word 2003, the cursor in MS
Word docs has just about disappeared. You can find it, but you really
have to look. Very strange. Don't know what I did (if anything) to
cause this behavior. Stumped. Suggestions welcome. Mike
