Strange Data Entry Results

Hi, I have an Access2002 database FE/BE converted from
Access97 and when I enter repetitive data into text or
memo fields it turns into rectangular bars?

i.e. ABCDEFG.......................

Turns into ABCDEFG[[[[[[[[[[[..

where [ is a rectangular bar about the same size but much
bolder and all filled in. Seems to be about three ... to
one [

It happens on WinXP, WinME machines in .MDB or .MDE

I've never seen this behavior before.

Check Tools... Options... Spelling... AutoCorrect Options. It's
probably turning three periods into an ellepsis character (look it up)
and your computer's fonts don't have the ellepsis defined, and are
displaying it as a "block".

Just turn off the Autocorrect option altogether, or at least remove
.... from the list of things to correct.
