This is a very peculiar problem and this is more of a sharing experienc
than an ask for help, but what the hell, I'm gonna take a shot in th
dark.
We have a system here with an autoexec Macro that executes som
functions before opening a User Login Form.
Everytime the MDB file is opened this autoexec is executed, opening th
login window.
One of the functions the autoexec executes is to minimize the DataBas
Window, so it doesnt stay on the background when the user is using th
program itself.
But when we want to code we allow a bypass key, which is the SHIFT key
so that it doesn't execute the autoexec and we can get to the DataBas
Window.
Sometimes the bypass key does not work, so at the Login form we added
double click event on the Login label that opens another form askin
for a password.. if the user types the password correctly, it will jus
get into Access without opening any mdb files, so then we can open th
database we want to code or edit.
What is weird is that, at times, the database window will star
minimized, but as if it were waaaaaay way way down the right and botto
side of the screen. When I say way down I mean that the scroll bar get
really really small and it takes quite a while to scroll towards th
right and bottom and finally find a small, minimized database window.
Anyone know what the HELL is this? its annoying at times !
It only happens when the program can't identify the Bypass key and w
need to use the double click event on the login label.
what is more weird is that it doesn't happen all the time, but quit
often
I use Access 97
