Strange Error Message when using Domain Functions]

I just upgraded to Office 2003 and have discovered that the following
error message is returned when an invalid field is included in a domain
function (DCOUNT(), DLOOKUP(), etc.)...

'YOU CANCELED THE PREVIOUS ACTION.'

Previously, the message was a bit clearer indicating that the WHERE
statement was invlaid or that the field wasn't found.

Why?

When I first opened Access, I did select the security open to restrict
certain functions to only operating within VBA code. Would this be part
of the result of that?

The message usually indicates that one of the arguments is not correct. For
example a field or table name may be misspelled, or the Criteria may be
mal-formed.

From memory, all versions from Access 2000 give these cryptic messages.

This error is what you get in ACCESS 2002 as well, not just in ACCESS 2003.
So the change is not just in 2003 version.

Yeah, well its up there with another beef of mine - ActiveSync doesn't
both to explain which indexes weren't created if there's more than 1
with the same name. (Its a PocketPC thing.) Leaving you to dig and dig
and dig and dig until need a Chinese interpreter.
