Strange foreign numbering

hello,

I need help with a strange incident that's happening with
my Word (2000). When I using the numbering in Word, it
will show the correct numbers but just before each number
a strange code will appear. For what I know it is arabic
language symbols. I uninstall Office and reinstall it
with the option customize and I took of all of the
foreign language, I just kept english and french, and
still the problem is there. Any idea ?

Hi, Pat,

The two things I can think of first are to check the Regional Options
settings in your Control Panel to ensure they're okay, then also to delete
(or rename) the normal.dot template that Word uses to see if that can reset
the formatting.

Hello,

Tx for the answer but :-(( it didn't work ! I tried a new
normal.dot and check the regional options.. nothing work.
Any other options.. the only new info is I had Office 97
before .. I uninstall it and install Office 2000... so I
really need somme help please please..
