strange format.

Just lately I have been getting weird text formats with both receiving and in
the help files within Outlook Express in Windows XP SP3. This is the sort of
things that are happening:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/strict.dtd">
<HTML DIR="LTR">
<HEAD>

<META NAME="MS.LOCALE" CONTENT="EN-US">
<META NAME="MS-IT-LOC" CONTENT="Outlook Express">
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html;charset=Windows-1252">
<META NAME="MS-HAID" CONTENT="mail_hotkeys">
<TITLE>Outlook Express keyboard shortcuts</TITLE>

<LINK REL="stylesheet" MEDIA="screen" TYPE="text/css"
HREF="MS-ITS:ieshared.chm::/coUA.css">
<LINK REL="stylesheet" MEDIA="print" TYPE="text/css"
HREF="MS-ITS:ieshared.chm::/coUAprint.css">
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JScript" SRC="MS-ITS:ieshared.chm::/shared.js"></SCRIPT>

</HEAD>
<BODY>

<H3><A NAME="mail_hotkeys"></A>Using Outlook Express keyboard shortcuts</H3>

<P>You can use shortcut keys to select commands and navigate through the
preview pane and the message list. Except where indicated, shortcuts apply to
both e-mail and newsgroups.</P>

<P><B>Main window, view message window, and send message window</B></P>
<TABLE WIDTH="100%">

<TH>Press</TH>
</TR>
<TR>

<TD>F1</TD>

</TR>
</TABLE>

<P><B>Main window and view message window </B></P>
<TABLE WIDTH="100%">

<TH>To</TH>
<TH>Press</TH>

Does any-one know what can be causing this sort of thing, as I said this
sort of thing has just started happening. The above text is out of the
Outlook help files, it seems that something is corrupted but I don't know how
to fix it.

Question concerning Outlook Express are best asked in an Outlook Express
group such as microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general

When you do, specify the message type of these incoming messages (plain
text, or HTML). Obviously your email client is not rendering the HTML
code correctly.
