strange "icon" with COPY-PASTE in Word

Hi! I've a problem.... WinXP Pro regularly updated, MS Office Pro regularly
updated...If I try to make copy (ctrl-c) of a selection from a web page and
then I try to paste (ctrl-v) in a MS Word document the only thing that is
copied is a strange little coloured icon (something like a calculator, a
cell phone). If I turn back on the selection and repeat the operation
(ctrl-c then ctrl-v) all goes right...???!!! Any suggestion? Thanx
