Strange Issue with Missing Lines in Month Calendar View

Craig

Something stranged happened in Outlook today. This is a little hard to
explain, but her it gooes....

If I am in my Month Calendar view, there are little white lines beside the
date inside the box instead of the complete black line. Does that make sense?
So, I have each day of the month in a sqare that is outlined in black, except
that beside the date is a small white line. I also can't scroll anymore with
the scroll wheel on the mouse. I don't know what happened, but it just
started and it is really bothering me. Has anyone seen this and can help?

I have the same 'graphical' problem on both of my PC's running Outlook 2003,
but the scroll wheel still works OK??

It only started happening yesterday, I agree that it does seem be related to
the latest patch.

Same problem here. Started recently but can't pinpoint the event that
triggered it. Only occurs when I display the calendar in the 31-day month
mode. Tried adjusting various display options and windows themes to no
avail. I can sometimes temporarily get the calendar grid to display properly
by dragging the toolbars around at the top of the calendar window.

It is a direct result of the security update to Outlook KB924085 Jan 09, 2007.
If you remove that update, the monthly view right border will go back to
normal.
However, because this update is related to security, I would recommend
leaving it in place until Microsoft comes out with an update fix.

I may have a little relief for some of you. Anyone else here by any
chance running FreeWheel?

I have that little app running all the time so my scroll wheel works
properly in VBA windows. I've just added Outlook.exe to the exclude
list inside FreeWheel (on the Compatibility tab), and bingo, the scroll
wheel started working properly in the Calendar again. I still have the
little graphics glitch that Craig mentioned in the first post, but I
think I can live with that. It was the lack of scrolling that was
driving me nuts.

Hope that's of help to some of you. I know how frustrating these
little bugs can be.
