Strange lines appearing, can't erase

achilles

I use Word 2000 in Hebrew. Sometimes strange horizontal lines appear and
I can't erase them no matter what I do - mark the whole page and
delete, nothing. They stick. This happens especially when I change
paragraph direction to write in English.
Anyone seen this ? does anyone have a cure ?

Thanks,
Eitan.

Doug Robbins - Word MVP - DELETE UPPERCASE CHARACT

Hi Achilles,

They are probably borders that are created as a result of having the "Border
lines" item checked under the "Autoformat as You Type" tab of the "Auto
Correct" dialog that you can access from the Tools menu. You can remove
them by selecting Borders and Shading from the Format menu.
