Strange Macro Behaviour

I have Windows XP Home running Office 2007. I recently installed a
new HP Officejet L7780 printer which has two paper trays. We use one
for top copies of letters (white paper) and one for file (yellow
paper) copies. My previous printer was a the previous generation of
the same machine and we had some simple macros to print the top and
file copy in one go, switching paper trays.

I have tried to write the same macro for the new machine using the
record macro facility and all appears to work fine until I close
Word. Next time I open it the macro prints two copies but from the
same paper tray instead on one of each. This is driving me nuts and
has cost a lot of paper, not to mention filling up the swear box.
Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? Is it the HP
software or am I missing something in Word? I am applying the macro
to all documents and templates when I record it.
