Strange Message After Failed Compact & Repair Attempt

I accidently tried to compact and repair a database located on a floppy disk. I got a message that the disk was full. I copied the database to my hard drive. Now when I try to compact and repair the database so I can store it on the floppy, it goes through the normal stages, but I get a message that says

Table 'TempMSysAccessObject' already exists

What does this message mean, and how can I fix the problem. My database does not seem to compact anymore

I sure could use some help.
