Strange, New Error Message while trying to upload website changes

I have Publisher 2003. I've been updating my site and uploading changes
regularly without problem. This past week, I keep getting a new error
message. After highlighting my ftp address, entering my password,
highlighting webdocs and then index.html (as always).....it looks as if it is
starting to save the changes to the net and then it pops up with a new error
message that says:

The disk is full trying to write c:\documents &
settings\Suzan\local...\6EE39F9A.tmp Save this file on a different diskk
and/or drive.

Now why is it even trying to save to my hard drive? Shouldn't it be saving
directly to the web? And why all of a sudden. Oh...and the numbers before
..tmp change each time. It's never the same tmp numbers twice. What the
heck is going on? Can anyone help me. I am running windos xp pro. It's a
newer, high powered computer. Didn't have troubles before. Why now?

And I do a weekly clean disk and degrag....I did it again since having this
problem. So it's not any temp files that need to be cleaned up.

A couple guesses: Did you perhaps add, or are you using a master page in
your Publisher document? Have you run the Design Checker under Tools to see
if it picks up an issue with your Pub doc? How much webspace do you have?
Perhaps you need to delete the old files on your server? Sorry for not being
able to give you a definitive answer, but perhaps this will lead you to
solution.

You are probably running out of web space on the server.

I just called my web server (earthlink) and was informed I could be ten times
as big and still not be out of space. I have plenty of server space left.
So that's not it.

I ran the design checker and it only came up with photos not having
alternative text - same thing as always - and that's never been a problem
before.

Not sure what you mean by a master page...how would I know?

Back to the drawing board - any other ideas???

As per the master page, it is a print document feature that allows you to
carry common elements on each page, and it is not supported in a web
publication. Perhaps go to view master page. Then look under Help to read
about it. And FWIW you can be using it for a long time and it not cause
problems, but will eventually.

If you aren't using a master page, then perhaps review the article about
trouble shooting publishing/uploading and the article on using FTP
uploading. Here are the reference articles:
