Strange new start-up error

I am using Office 2007 provided by the military through Microsoft (a
collaboration where military members paid a small fee for Office 2007). When
originally installed, it worked fine. Upgraded to SP1 - no problem.

Recently, whenever I open Word, I get this InstallShield error message:
"The Update Service does not recognize this product. Please contact your
software vendor for updates to this product. Error 13000: Product not
Registered with the Agent."

I click on Finish and the program works normally thereafter. I ran the
Office diagnostic with no problems. Vista says my computer has all updates.
This error is relatively new and pops up whenever I open Word. Any idea
what's going on?

You probably got the Office 2007 Enterprise via the Home Program from the Military

There is a free help and support for this version when you get it through the Home
Program and especially from the military

Sam, I am posting a canned reply and just ignore what does not apply to you. You

Could also be Office 2007 Military Appreciation Edition, which is
a repackaged Office 2007 Home and Student Edition sold through
military base PXs.

In addition to their installation program, InstallShield also markets a
InstallShield Update Manager. This latter program is intended to serarch for
updates for supported programs and notify you when one is available. Some
vendors will install the InstallShield Update Manager when you install their
program {without telling you}.

The error message you are getting may be coming from the InstallShield
Update Manager not Office 2007. You may want check your installed programs.
I so dislike the InstallShield Update Manager that I uninstall it as soon as
I find it installed.
