Strange office 2000 behaviour

D

Des

I have just pased a table into word (Office 2000) and for some strange
reason it has decided to show me the new line (backward P) and dots for
spaces. I never asked for this and I can't find a way of turning this
feature off. There is no button on the button bar.

Any sugestions.

Desmond.

Did you try, in Word, with your document opened:

Tools | Options | View (tab) and uncheck all the Formatting marks options.

the backward P is a new paragraph, btw.
