Strange problem

I am trying to copy and paste (with a new name) a table in my database, but
get the following message when I try to do the "paste":

"the Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and
another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time" ... I
am the only one using this data base.

I copied the database with desktop explorer to another computer, but got the
same error when I tried to do the copy/paste again.

I have tried to use this table in queries using the option "Make table"
query to again copy it, but get the same error message.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

are you trying to copy the table into a new database or into the existing
one?
if the former, then from the new database, go to File|Get External
Data|Import and then find the .mdb and then select just the table you want
to import.
if the latter, then simply right-click on the table name, select Save As,
and then type a new name into the box.
