Strange shape behaviour

Visio 2003
Using two different templates i get 2 diff behaviours for dynamic connectors.
On a basic flowchart the connector works as expected - i.e. if I grab one
endpoint and drag it, the end point moves and the line changes its length and
shape.
On a custom template I've created, the connectors (both from the toolbar,
and from my custom stencil) don't quite work as expected! If I drop a
connector on the page, the default shape is an "L". If I then grab and move
an endpoint, the "L" remains and is the only part of the shape that is
visible, the rest of the connector has no line style, and the connector stops
taking the right-angle, but all sorts of angles (it's still straight at
least).

What have I done? What can I do to reset the connectors on the template and
stencil?

Well, that was odd! There is a property called 'DynamicsOff' in the Page
Layout section of the page's shapesheet that had somehow been set to True,
instead of False. I set it back to False and the connectors worked again.

If you ever want to have some fun with a colleague, try doing this to them!

I was working on a file with the same problem, and sure enough, the
DynamicsOff property in the page shapesheet was the culprit. I have no idea
how it got set, but I'll know where to look if it happens again!
