Strange Symbols

When sending a message my Outlook has symbols on each line that look like
backwards music notes. When the mail is sent they disappear. How do I get rid
of these??

like backwards music notes. When the mail is sent they disappear. How
do I get rid of these??

Those are paragraph marks.

Do you see a button on the toolbar with the same character? If you do, just
click it. If you don't, go to View - Toolbars and make sure Standard is
selected. The paragraph mark character should be next to the zoom dropdown.
