Strange text in subject line

Hello. I am running Exchange 2000 SP3 and Outlook 2002 SP3. I am running
into a strange problem. The subject line gets corrupt, or at least looks
that way. The subject gets replaced by text such as "?????????4????âªâªâªAâªâªâª?
ü???ging"

It only happens to a few appointments in the Calendar and they are all
recurring appointments. This happens from time to time, with no clear
pattern.

Any ideas?

One more interesting piece of information. If I open the series, the subject
line shows the correct text. But if I open just one occurance it looks all
messed up (like in initial post). Also, in the Calendar view it looks all
messed up.
