strange thesaurus behavior with the word "conscience"

I get this strange phenomenon while using the thesaurus
check in Word 2002, French version: on the
word "conscience" (in French, and only with that word!!!),
Word decides to go totally off as soon as the pointer hits
the right-click synonyms toolbar. It may be a programmer's
joke. Does anybody know about this? (and how to get rid of
it?
