Strange things happening in Word 2002

Recently some strange things have been happening when I
type in Word 2002. If I highlight one paragraph, then hit
the center button, the entire document gets centered.
Then I hit undo, and the rest of the document changes
back and the correct paragraph is centered.

It's not just centered - it's almost every command: bold,
italic, etc.

Any ideas?

Could it be a macro virus ?
Test with :set macro security to high.
