I am having some strange Word 2007 crashes. Anytime I select the 'font'
contextual menu via a right-click, the application immediately crashes. Also,
if I try to open a .docx file created on a Mac (just a completely
plain-vanilla document with some text and all default everything) Word will
crash. In the Event Viewer (or whatever it's called) the error is reported to
be in the module GDI32.dll for all of the crashes.
Anyone have any ideas? The computer is a brand-new Dell Studio 14z, Vista
Home Prem. 64.
I've 'repaired' Office, with no effect. I've also run Office Diagnostics,
which does not find anything wrong. Dell technical support has been less than
useless, and since it's an OEM install, Microsoft wants $$ for support.
