I have an AVI file that's 59 meg in size. I would like to
make this file (since is's so big) streaming video. How do
I get this to work in FrontPAge?

Thanks.

All you really have to do is convert it into a streaming media format. over
at www.microsoft.com/windowsmedia you should find tools to create a windows
media version that can be streamed. The same goes for Real players by using
some of the free converter tools from www.real.com.

Then all you need to do is link it just like any other video. One thing to
keep in mind though, true streaming relies on a streaming server but you can
stream over http it's just up to the player how it loads it and what
features are unavailable (backwards and forwards won't work without a
streaming server).

Hope this helps,

Bill,

If you wish to stream MultiMedia files, you need to
create streaming files such as wmv, asx, ram, etc.. The
most effecient way to do this is create your file and
have it run on a streaming server such as Windows Media
server, Real Server etc..

You can stream files through a web server (if supported),
but the quality is inconsistant due to packet loss.

Here is a company that specializes in delivering
streaming content http://www.playstream.com

Hope it helps,
JDR

There is a Microsoft download which you can use Real
Player in Frontpage to create video. All it really is , is
a extensions to copy real player.

Hope that helps
