streamline audio

I have a small site which I only use to share family photos - I am trying to
post an audio file (mp3) either by a link or a downloadable file so that my
friends and family can listen to my sons concert. I've tried Davids tips on
streamlined audio files and still nothing happens when you click on the
hyperlink. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. Using XP with Publisher
2003. Needless to say, I don't have much experience with HTML. Any help???
