I've noticed today that I have a couple of emails that have come into my IMAP inbox which are coming in with strike throughs through them, as if they have been deleted on another computer. I know they have not though.

If you are using an IMAP account and have accessed the email on any other email client (Thunderbird for example) then this will happen on occasion. I am not sure as to exactly why, but I have 3 people in my INBOX all the time using 3 different clients and only Thunderbird leaves the strikethroughs rather than simply moving it to the Deleted Messages folder.

Have you accessed the account on any other device, computer yourself before returning to your home computer? Just a thought.

I do have Thunderbird but it hasn't been opened today.

It's happening to my computer here at work. My mac at home is on and Apple Mail is open. I suspect there may be some Rules active on that mac which are moving the mails to certain folders.

Do you think this could cause them to appear with strike throughs here at work?
