Strike-throughs instead of deleted emails

Sandy

When I delete an email message, it doesn't go away. Instead it still
appears, but with a strike-through through it. I've tried everything
I can find to get rid of these emails, and now I have over 2000 of
them clogging my computer! I'm sure it's something to do with the
Rules Wizard, but I cannot figure it out. Can anyone out there help
me?

Thanks.

Sorry, Sandy, but I see absolutely no connection between this question &
Microsoft Word for Mac. That's the newsgroup you've posted to. I'd suggest
you contact a support group that deals with whatever email software you're
using.

Hi Sandy:

That's likely to be nothing to do with the Rules Wizard, it's standard
behaviour for an IMAP mail server.

Look in your email program's help for the "Purge Deleted Items" command and
run it.

Cheers
