Strike Thu emails

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC
Email Client: imap

A colleague of mine sent me a mail with some text that he had applied a strike thru to. When I received it in Entourage it did not display the strike thru. I had to open Apple Mail to see which text he was referring to. Is this a preference somewhere?
