Strikethrough - accepting changes does not delete from printout

S

sas

A user received a document and it opens in compatability mode.
She did not convert the document to office 2007 which is what we are using
today. She believes the document was created in word perfect.

The user used the strikethough key to make her changes. She accepts all the
changes but the printed document and the document on the screen both show the
text with a line thru it and did not accept those changes. Before she
accepts the changes she show ballons with FORMATTED:STRIKETHROUGH shown.

Now the document shows 2005 with a strikethrough and 2008 next to it. How
does she get the 2005 with the strikethrough it to disappear???? She is
frantic that she will have to delete each of the strikethroughs by hand and
there at least a 100 changes.

P.S. I tried converting the document then accepting the changes but that
did not help.
Much appreciated,

Hi Sas,

Does Word 2007 have Service Pack 1 installed?

Is that the only tracked change in the document?

Working with an extra copy of the document if you see a 'Convert' button under the Office button in Word with the file open can you
then resave to a new file name and then accept the changes?

Do you have 'Track changes' turned on when you accept the changes (and then turn it off)?

Can you provide a link to a skydrive or website for the problem document?
