Strikethrough text

Hello all,

I have a spreadsheet with strikethrough text combine with regular text in
several cells, 7500+. When I import the table into Access, the
strikethrough disappears. How can I prevent this from happening? I need to
print the report with the strikethrough text on it.

Thanks in advance,

Frank

I don't see any native support for it in access. All the other office
programs do support it. There are third party text box utilities to extend
text boxes to rich text but I'm not familiar with any of them. Pete D.

Hi Frank,

The standard import routine doesn't allow any variation in formatting
within fields, and there's no simple way round this.

Can you split the values in Excel into multiple cells each of which
always has the same format?

John,

The person that made the spreadsheet did it manually. So the strikethrough
is not formatted the same throughout the cells. It appears at the beginning,
sometimes in the center of the text, and sometimes at the end. I think I am
stuck in a cell by cell sorting for this task.

Thanks,

Frank

Is it essential to use Access as the reporting tool? It might be
simpler to export the Excel stuff to a Word table (where - I think -
the formatting will be preserved).
