striping when printed on colors set to transparent

When I turn a publisher to PDF &/or print documents that use transparent
colors it prints with striping or "texture". How do I avoid this problem?
Other than turning to solid color.

Publisher has problems with transparency/gradients. Right-click the object, save
as picture, use the .png format and a higher resolution. Insert the object back
into your Publisher document.
