Struggling to connect Entourage 2008 to Exchange 2003

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange This may have been covered already, but I have a Macbook Pro running Mac OSX 10.4.11 I have Entourage 2008 version 13.0.3 (091002) I'm new to the mac world and I'm struggling to connect it to our Exchange 2003 server.
I have connected fine using Mail I can access the server via OWA through Safari, but Entourage refuses to connect, What am I doing Wrong : (

Entourage 2008 version 13.0.3 (EWS) is not supported with Exchange 2003
server. You need to be using Exchange Server 2007 with rollup 4.

Unfortunately, users who purchase the current version of Office 2008
Business edition (which includes EWS) will be unable to set up an Exchange
account successfully in Entourage if their server is running Exchange 2003.
You will be stuck with using an IMAP or POP account.

You will need to use (downgrade?) Entourage 2008 (12.2.3) which does work
with Exchange 2003 server.

Right I have managed to install the original office 2008 now it is at 12.2.0,but I'm still struggling to connect to Exchange does it need to be at 12.2.3 or will 12.2.0 still connect to exchange?

12.2.0 will connect but it¹s advised to upgrade. Be sure all applications
are quit when updating and restart afterwards.

Hurray, thank you, thank you,thank you,thank you,thank you.

It works, after a little bit of tinkering, the wizard setup doesn't work but the manual config works a treat and I'm connected fine now, I'm fully synced with my Exchange 2003 server

I would like to thank you both for your speed responses to my questions

How did you get Entourage 2008 to connect to Exchange 2003? I've tried numerous settings and cannot seem to get it to connect and sync!
