STS and PWA Issues

After creating a project I click on Issues, or Documents
and receiving the following message can anyone tell me
what this means?

Microsoft Project Web Access Documents and Issues are
based on SharePoint Team Services from Microsoft.

A SharePoint Team Services subweb needs to be created for
your project before you can share project documents or
track project issues. Subweb creation takes a few
minutes, so if the project was just published, wait a few
minutes and then visit the page again. Otherwise, please
contact your system administrator.

Depending on your seetings a few things could be taking
place. If the option to publish when saving the file has
been turned off (box unchecked in the Tools -> Options on
the bottom of the Collaborate tab), then you will need to
publish the project from the Collaborate menu - Publish...

Depending on your settings during the install, you
project sub webs are either created manually or
automatically when the plan is published via Project
Pro. You may need to check out that setting.

If netiher of these two options solve the issue, you STS
configuration may have been set up with incorrect
permissions on the database or user account settings.

You should check to see if the subwebs are being created
(Use IIS Admin tool on the server), if so there will be
folders with numbers, ie 101, 102, etc. If so the sub
webs are being created but the permissions are not set
correctly.

Hope this helps.

I checked and everything is there. However, I am not
seeing the folders in IIS like you said. I also have not
found where you set the project sub webs to be created
manually or automatically. Any help is appreicated.
Thanks!

From memory:

First go to PWA and go to the Admin tab and Manage Sharepoint Team Services.

Subweb provisioning settings option on the left will let you know how the
subwebs are to be created.

The Manage subwebs option shows a list of subwebs by projects and allows you
to create subwebs if they don't already exist.

If your provisioning settings are setup for automatic subweb creation but
the subwebs aren't being created, this is usually a Proxycfg issue but could
also be a PSComPlus issue. Look at the Project Server installation
instructions or do a groups.google.com search to get the correct commands
for those two.
