Stuck clipboard

Several weeks ago, I used the clipboard for a large chunk of text. Now
it won't go away. Every time I open a new document in Word, the
document opens with that text. Even after I delete it, when I go to
save my document, its title automatically appears as the first line of
that text. How do I get rid of it?

Hi Whatever your name is:

It wasn't the clipboard that did it: you had the Normal template open at the
time and you have saved the text to it
