Stuck in Reduced Functionality

Nate

I have Office XP installed on a Windows XP desktop.
Office stopped working and entered Reduced Functionality
Mode. I would have no problem registering it (have cds
and code) but the Reduced Functionality Mode window has
the 'Next' and 'Back' buttons greyed out and won't let me
procede to a screen where I can key in a registration
code. When I use programs (i.e. magic jelly bean) to see
my registration code, the correct code shows up, but I am
stuck in Reduced Functionality. Any help would be great!
Thank you.

Milly, thanks for the reply. When I go into 'Help'
and 'Activate Product' it comes up with the
familiar 'Small Business Activation Wizard' with
the 'Next' and 'Back' buttons greyed out (and no options
to input anything). I could send you a screen shot if it
would help. It's the strangest thing.
Thanks again.

Hi Nate,

If you get the same behavior from the Activation choice
in Start=>Programs=>Microsoft Office Tools see if
one of the steps in one of these two articles help:

Bob, after hours on the phone with tech support and
further hours trying to figure it out myself - you hit it
right on the head first shot. I scrubbed the installation
with the 'Activation Wizard Does Not Start' instructions
and it put me straight. Thanks!
