Stuck Mail in MS Outlook 2007

T

TC

I have tried all the remedies I found on the site. I still receive a message
stating that the message has started to be sent. I cannot delete the message
or open it in safe mode or offline.
Outlook continuously tries to send the message and stalls forever. I can’t
get rid of the message in my out box.
I tried to find Outbox.dbx on my system and didn’t have any luck.
Any new suggestions?
Gratefully, TC

Hi TC, sorry but I do not have an answer for you, I am piggy backing onto
your questions as I have been trying to help my mother with a very similar
problem, but in Outlook 2003 and luckily for here while the message is still
trying to send and cannot be deleted, she can still send other emails.

Hopeing that the same solution will work for both 2007 & 2003.

Well, outbox.dbx doesn't have anything to do with Outlook.

You may need to try method 3 or 4 in http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/messagestuckinoutbox.htm.

Just watch the thread. Don't post "me too" messages.

- Load Outlook.
- Put Outlook in offline mode (File -> Work Offline: enable).
- Exit Outlook.
- Load Outlook in its safe mode ("outlook.exe /safe"). This ensures no
plug-ins get loaded when Outlook is loaded. Reloading Outlook in
offline mode means it won't touch the stuck item. If Outlook ever
touches the item, you cannot delete it.
- Delete the stuck item in the Outbox folder.
- Put Outlook in online mode (File -> Work Offline: disable).
- Exit Outlook.
- Reload Outlook.

Unrelated to Outlook. The .dbx files are used by Outlook EXPRESS.
Outlook and Outlook EXPRESS are unrelated programs.
