Stupid Macro Question

W

WILLIAM GRAHAM

I'm switching computers. How do I take my Word macros with me to the new
one?

Thanks for your help?

William, did you get an answer yet?

Look in a folder with a name like this:

C:\Documents and Settings\WilliamGraham\Application
Data\Microsoft\Templates

Where WilliamGraham might be AllUsers or some other stuff. But anyway,
get down to the Templates folder level, and in there you should see all
your templates with all your macros. You can copy them to CD or a
network folder or some other medium, and then put them in the
equivalent location on the new machine. If you've been saving your
macros in your Normal.dot template, you could take that one and
overwrite the Normal.dot on your new machine...but it would be better
if you took the macros OUT of Normal.dot and put them into a separate
template file.
