Hi,

I downloaded a trial version of MS Projects 2007 and i especially wanted to
download the "Professional" version...

I've cleared my browsing history so i cant confirm if that what i definately
downloaded.

How do i tell?

When i click on HELP -> ABOUT -> It says: Microsoft Office Project 2007
Trial (12.0.4518.1014) MSO (12.0.6320.5000)

Thanks...

1 - Is that the only difference?
2 - If so, what does this mean in terms of "What is a project Server and why
would i need/use it?)
3 - What exactly is the option entitled under your 'Tools' menu? (I do have
a 'Build Team From Enterprise...' (but this is greyed out)

Thanks....

Hi

I am using a swedish version so i guess the Menu item should be like
Corporate (it is the last option). It is said to be the only difference.

A Project Server is mainly an opportunity to handle multiple projects at an
enterprise level. It can handle Project files and resources from many persons
and is an Enterprise Project Management tool.

Hope this helps,

1. Yes it is the only difference
2. It is the EPM tool on top of Project; a small description would take say
20 pages so look up the MS website.
3. In the Collaborate Menu (do you have that?) can you select Collaboration
Options? Then it is Pro. But again, there is no difference.

Hello ant1983,

If you have have a 'Build Team From Enterprise...' command in the Tools menu
(but this is greyed out), that means that you are working on Project
Professional but you are not connected on a Project Server.
