Stupid Question

[Mr. Visio]

I want to upgrade from Visio 2002 Professional to Visio
2003 Standard, I don't have the need for the Professional
features, will Microsoft allow an upgrade from a
Professional version to a Standard version?

You might check with the folks in the Visio newsgroups; however, my best
recommendation is to call 1-800-426-9400, Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M.
to 6:00 P.M. (Pacific time) and ask to speak directly to a Microsoft
licensing specialist. Worldwide customers can use the Guide to Worldwide
Microsoft Licensing Sites to find
contact information in their locations.

I've called them and have had good luck speaking with a real person for
free.

As helpful as we are, I don't think I'd rely on peer support when it comes
to answering legal/licensing questions.
