stupid saving question

Simple question guys. Why is it that sometimes when I open a document
and not make changes and then try and close it, I am asked if I want to
save? How can I change this to make it not ask me. I know that this
is a silly question but I have a flash presentation which opens word
documents and is annoying to have it ask all the time. Thanks in

Tools > Options > Save

uncheck [ ] Embed Smart Tags
