style of template changed after sending or forwarding

When I use a self created template for a mail message, most of the style
disappears after sending or forwarding the message. Grey and black areas are
no longer there, white text on black, red,... background becomes white text
on white background, page set up is omitted,... I tried numerous times to
create a template with the first 3 pages in portrait and the last three pages
in landscape but it never works out.

email doesn't know portrait or landscape and it doesn't know section breaks,
so you can't change the layout in mid document - that is print only. Send
the document as an attachment, not as an email.

Color should stick though. Are you using HTML format in the template?
