Style reapply does nothing

R

Remik Ziemlinsk

My paragraphs are marked with custom Styles, but for some paragraphs th
text font size is wrong, despite what the Style list shows and what it
real definition uses. When I select the style from the list, I get th
"Reapply or Auto-update" dialog box. Sometimes when I select th
"reapply" radio button it works, but for the majority it doesn'
update; it continues to use the wrong font size (always smaller tha
the Style's definition).

Similarly, when I try this with Format | Style | Apply, it works ~10
of the time.

Replacing by style with Search/Replace never worked.

Why is Word 2000 (via Citrix) not responding to my reapply commands
I'm forced to manually select or type the correct font size in the fon
size toolbar control for each bad instance - BIG burden for 400+ pag
document.

I'm worried that VBA code that visits each paragraph and sets the fon
size to its Style font size may not work either

Hi Remik,

See if this makes any difference:

1. Select a number of such paragraphs
2. Press Ctrl+Spacebar

Note: this removes all directly applied formatting, so it may change more
than you expect. But this way we can determine if the problem comes from
direct formatting.
