Styled Text in Tables not showing properly

When I apply a style of text to text within a table cell it ignores the points after each paragraph built into the style.

In other words I have a style with 10pts after each paragraph. This is ignored when I apply this style to text. Strangley if I apply a style with points BEFORE each paragraph it does take this into account...even to the extent that when I apply a style that has both points before and after only the before points are showing.

Any idea why?
