styles and format task pane

Hello,

On oct 19th 6:52 am I posted a question (titled new
document default) about how to always have the styles and
formatting task pane appear when I open MS word, as well
as when I open a document I have previously worked on.
Thank you for those of you who responded, but none of the
suggestions worked. Any other suggestions? (I changed the
normal template, but this didn't work -- I even made
additional changes to the normal template just to make
sure I was indeed changing the template, which I was). I
always use the styles and template, yet each time I open a
document, it never appears.

As well-intentioned as previous respondents may have been, I don't believe
there's any way to do this short of a macro, which means that you need to
post your question in one of the Word VBA NGs.
