Styles change from text to graphic conversion

When copying a word table into another word document as an .emf, the styles
change. Body text is used within the table. When it is placed as either an
..emf or .wmf, the font changes and text becomes numbered. How can I fix this?

Thanks so much.

What version of Word are you using?

You're pasting a text based table as a graphic (.emf) and the content of the text within the table is changing to numbered?

I am using 2003. You are correct, I am pasting a text based table as a
graphic (paste special) and once placed, the content changes even though it
is now a graphic.

Hi Cordova,

Hmmm. This is a table created in Word or inserted as an object from Excel or other app?

What Style/formatting is applied to the table and what is the style/formatting of the document you're pasting the graphic into
Edit=>Paste Special=>Picture(Enhanced Metafile)
that surrounds the pasted table picture?

If you right click on the pasted item does it show 'Format=>Picture" in the choices?

The table is created in word using style "body text". When placed as an emf
or wmf using paste special, it is under body text still. I double checked the
styles to make sure they weren't based off anything in both docs. It does
show format pic when I right click.

Hi Cordova,

I may be missing a nuance or step in the process you're using in attempting to reproduce this behavior.

Do you have a website/fileshare/blog, etc that you can post sample document(s) to that show this behavior and post the link here
along with the exact steps to reproduce the problem?

Do you get the same behavior if you start Word in safe mode (hold ctrl key while starting Word)?

I tried using safe mode but got the same effect. It doesn't happen on any
other machine. I am wondering if I will just have to do a reinstall to clear
the problem. I don't have a place to load any samples.
