Styles from Word 2000 to Word XP

Missy_Mason

Hi,

I am hoping someone can help me. I developed a couple of templates that
each contain different numbering styles. In Word 2000, I would just attach
the template that I need and the new styles would be available without
affecting any of the styles within the current document. Using the same
templates in 2002, when I attach a new template it adds numbering to styles
that previously did not contain numbering.

Any help that you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Welcome to the wonderfull world of Word Bullets and
Numbering! :)

More questions in this forum have probably been devoted
to that subject than anything else. If you value your
sanity, don't rely on the inbuilt numbering that Word
offers.

Have a read of the articles from the Numbering tab on
this page:

One solution that works reliably is to set up your styles
and numbering using VBA.

There used to be a great link called "How to cure list
numbering with a dose of VBA"
). Unfortunately the link appears to be dead. Maybe it's
only temporary, but if not, perhaps one of the MVPs can
point you in the right direction.

Best of luck,
