Well, this is a Mac Word newsgroup, but in this case it doesn't make much
difference
You have at least 3 basic options:
1) Copy a para which has the style applied & paste it into the other doc.
The style will transfer with it, then just delete the pasted content or type
new content to replace it, or
2) Use the Organizer to copy the styles from one doc to another - especially
handy if there is more than one style to be transferred. If you're not
familiar with Organizer you can get to it in several ways - find out more in
Word Help using the keywords: organizer or manage styles, or
3) Open a file that contains the style(s) & use File> Save As to create a
new doc then select & delete its content.
If it's a style you intend to use frequently it can also be added to the
Normal.dot template and/or any custom templates that need it.
One consideration either way: If the doc you're transferring the style to
already has a style by the exact same name it will be replaced by the
incoming style - that's another advantage of the Organizer. It allows
renaming of a style as you transfer it.
