sub forms caption property

Hi,
I need to display a sub form fields with certain names. I
try changing the caption property of the underlying query
to the names I wanted. Yes the caption of the fields
changed but only in the query not when openning the
subform. In the subform the labels display the caption I
want, but again not when openning the subform. I try
changing the Name property of the fields (I don't know the
consequences of doing this..) and works but not for all
the fields, because there are names which are not accepted
by Access such as "Stator Current ixR [A]" (when trying to
change, display an error window). I need the right names
to be displayed in the user interface, how can I achieve
this?

Many thx.

Use the Caption property as you have discovered already.
It appears that you are running the subform in Datasheet view. Under
these conditions MSA uses the FieldName for th ecolumn heading.
Personally, I think thats a bug in MSA.

Try making the sub form into a continuous form instead Put the
headings you want into the form header.
With a little effort, you can make it LOOK the way it is now,
but it takes a LOT of effort to make it ACT the same way. (Sizeable
Columns, Same navigation etc)

You can change the label that is attached to the field to what you want the
field headings to be. This is in datasheet view.
