Sub or Function not defined errorwhen opening and closing MS Word

Everytime I open word I get the error "Sub or function not defined" I get rid
of the error and everything behaves normally. When I close i get the same
error.
I had the error in Office 97 and tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well
as repairing. I have since upgraded to Office 2003 but this has not changed
anything. Is this an office error or a windows XP error?
Would I be better just formatting the machine and rebuilding? The error only
occurs in Word not any other office apps. Can anyone help?

The error is almost certainly in an Add-In. See #4 of
